The recipient owes principal, not an investment yield

Qard hasan is a benevolent loan under which the borrower repays the principal without a stipulated financial benefit to the lender. A community may replenish a revolving fund as borrowers repay, allowing later applicants to benefit. This differs from giving a nonrepayable donation and from purchasing an asset at a disclosed markup. The campaign must identify whether contributors themselves are lenders or donate to an organisation that subsequently makes the loans.

Document hardship procedures before collecting money

A responsible arrangement sets an affordable repayment schedule, defines collection responsibilities and explains how genuine inability to pay is handled. Administrative charges require careful scrutiny so that a time-based lending return is not relabelled as a fee. Akhuwat and A Continuous Charity show different institution-led applications of interest-free lending; their geographic and programme eligibility are specific. A crowdfunding organiser should not promise access to either scheme simply because a person needs help.
