Verify the treatment budget without exposing the patient
Medical donation crowdfunding collects gifts for treatment, equipment or associated care costs. A credible campaign identifies the authorised organiser, obtains the patient's consent and supports the requested amount with a provider estimate. Publishing full medical records is unnecessary and can expose sensitive information. Where zakat is requested, financial need and the proposed distribution require their own assessment; the existence of an illness does not automatically establish zakat eligibility.
Agree the payment route and cancellation plan
Explain whether donations go directly to a hospital, through a charity or to the patient, and who confirms the invoice has been settled. The appeal should address changes in treatment, overfunding and costs already covered by insurance or public programmes. Avoid promises that a particular treatment will cure the patient. Transparent collection and payment procedures make the fundraising more accountable, while medical decisions remain with appropriately qualified clinicians and the person receiving care.
