Locate the loss within the project and structure
Islamic crowdfunding can expose capital to business failure, customer default, property vacancy, construction delay or fraud. The contract determines which party bears each risk and what recovery rights exist. Collateral may be difficult to enforce or worth less than expected. Religious compliance does not insure a commercial outcome, and an apparently stable payment schedule can be interrupted.
Evaluate liquidity and platform failure separately
A profitable project can still be hard to sell, while a platform's closure can disrupt administration even when the underlying business survives. Ask who maintains investor records, collects payments and handles recoveries if the operator stops trading. Read the offer's downside cases, then consider your ability to leave the money committed. An exit window is not a promise of a willing buyer.
