Authorise the campaign through the association’s own rules

A community association should approve its fundraising purpose, responsible officers and receiving account before launching an appeal. The proposed activity must fit the organisation's constitution and applicable local rules. Describe who will use the funded facility or service and how the budget was prepared. If volunteers collect money informally, supporters may struggle to establish whether their gift belongs to the association or to an individual's personal campaign.

Publish decisions that affect donated money

Assign responsibilities for approving invoices, resolving conflicts of interest and reporting progress. Explain the minimum viable project and what happens if fundraising falls short. For shared equipment or premises, identify ownership, insurance and ongoing running costs. A succession plan is especially useful where one volunteer currently controls the platform account. Donor updates should make material changes visible, including revised suppliers or a changed timetable, rather than reporting only a growing collection total.
