Azerbaijan’s Islamic finance pilots have defined limits
The Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s sandbox register describes Islamic financing projects involving ABB and Rabitabank. These controlled pilots should not be represented as a general permission for online Islamic crowdfunding. Read the eligible customer category, testing conditions and product description before approaching a provider. A bank’s participation in a supervised experiment does not establish that every resident or overseas investor may use the service.
Examine the actual Murabaha or Mudarabah agreement
For an Azerbaijani enterprise, an asset-finance pilot may require evidence of the property being purchased and the business purpose. A profit-sharing arrangement instead needs a clear account of who manages the funds and how commercial outcomes affect distributions. Confirm the current contract directly with the institution. A separate community donation campaign should identify its own collecting organisation and must not imply sponsorship by a sandbox participant.
